Frequently Asked Questions

Is this contract legally binding?

Yes, once signed by both parties. The generated contract includes all essential elements — offer, acceptance, consideration, and mutual obligations. For high-value projects ($10K+), we recommend a lawyer review.

Should I always use a contract for freelance work?

Absolutely. Even for small projects with friendly clients. Contracts prevent misunderstandings about scope, payment, and ownership. They protect both you and your client.

Who should own the intellectual property?

Standard practice is that IP transfers to the client upon full payment. The freelancer retains portfolio rights. The generated contract follows this convention, but you can adjust it for licensing arrangements or retained ownership.
